DICK’S AUTOMOTIVE TRANSPORT AND TOWING has been in business since 1957.
What started with one truck and Owner/Operator, Dick
Sgarlato, at the Union 76 station at Bascom and Camden, has grown to a
fleet of 16 trucks, ranging from Service Trucks, Carriers, Medium Duty,
HEAVY DUTY and Freeway Service Patrol.
Dick applied and was awarded the AAA franchise for the area in 1968 out
of a pool of 47 applicants. In 1969 he was put on the rotation list for
Campbell Police Department, and in 1970 he was added to the rotation lists
of CHP, Sheriffs Office, and Los Gatos PD.
Dick’s four sons, Greg, Ron, Glenn and Steve Sgarlato, are now running the
company and continuing the family tradition of pride in service and
commitment to our customers.
